This freshly announced FPS MMORPG is promising a lot, but can it actually deliver?
Have you ever fancied playing a game that’s part Far Cry, part Battlefield, and part World of Warcraft? Well, congrats in that case, because it seems that the game of your dreams may finally be a reality.
Reaper Actual, a brand new "open-world persistent first person shooter" from developer and publisher Distinct Possibility Studios, Inc., has just been announced, and it sounds wild.
Reading between the lines of all the PR-speak, it sounds like the aim of the game in Reaper Actual is to fight against five different factions of AI-controlled opponents… while a bunch of real players try and kill you.

Essentially, you’ll always have to be on the lookout for real players while you complete your missions, which is probably not going to be easy when your missions require you to fire your very loud guns at your enemies.
If you want to get a glimpse of the gameplay (and the general vibes), I highly suggest you check out the latest trailer for the game. Alternatively, you can always head over to the Steam page for Reaper Actual (at which point you can wishlist it while you’re there, if it tickles your fancy).
However, what if you’re not a PC player? Will you ever be able to get your hands on this one if, say, you’re a PlayStation 5 or Xbox owner?
Potentially, no. As stated in the FAQ section on Reaper Actual’s official site, the game will only be available on PC, “via Steam, the Epic Games Store and reaperactual.com”.

Also, no exact word on a release date for the time being. It seems that the publishers are keeping their cards close to their chest for now, so you may want to keep an ear out if you’re keen to try this one ASAP.
