Deadpool 4 leak teases one last ride for a Marvel icon

Deadpool 4 leak teases one last ride for a Marvel icon

The prophecy is true

A new leak has surfaced via industry insider Daniel Richtman that could mean a Marvel legend gets one last go at playing an icon.

If the leak for Deadpool 4 turns out to be real, then the merc with a mouth was right and Disney has Hugh Jackman until he’s 90.

Deadpool & Wolverine is the most-watched film on Disney+ currently

That’s right, it appears that Hugh Jackman might have one more solo outing as Wolverine with Deadpool 4 being another buddy action film.

This news comes after it seems that Jackman’s Wolverine will play a major part in Avengers: Secret Wars, perhaps ushering in the X-Men to the MCU.

This would make a lot of sense with the direction that Marvel seems to be taking the MCU.

Not only will all multiverse worlds likely collide as incursion events, meaning Earth 10005 - where Deadpool and Wolverine now reside - will merge with Earth-616 of the MCU, but the introduction of mutants will go down easier with Wolverine taking a lead.

At least, this is what we’ve been piecing together from leaks, rumours, and confirmed plot points from Kevin Feige.

Ryan Reynolds is already shooting more Deadpool footage for Marvel, and his inclusion in the future of the MCU seems set in stone.

Though Hugh Jackman’s future is less clear.

Given just how popular Deadpool & Wolverine was in cinemas, and now on Disney+, it would make sense to write a fat cheque to Jackman and get him to go one more round with his buddy Ryan Reynolds.

Of course, we should take this with a pinch of salt until the House of Mouse gives us more solid information.

However, this rumour is laced with some truth in that Marvel knows what fans want to see, and more Wolverine is it.

This is until a new Wolverine is likely found to head up the Mutant Saga in a future phase of MCU movies.
