Marvel boss quietly confirms our new X-Men in Secret Wars tease

Secret Wars marks a "soft reboot" for the MCU

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going from strength to strength in recent years with its movies and television shows hitting record-breaking numbers.

Luckily, Marvel Studios shows no signs of slowing down with plans to release multiple shows and films over the next few years.

However, it would be a lie to say that Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars were not receiving the most hype as they will be the first Avengers movies since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

Not only will it be the first Avengers movie after a hiatus but it will also feature our brand-new cast of superheroes and it is safe to say that they will have big shoes to fill.

Our official cast for Doomsday and Secret Wars has not yet been unveiled but we can expect to see some familiar faces from upcoming movies such as The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Thunderbolts* which are both set to hit cinemas in 2025.

That being said, Marvel fans are eager to learn if we will see any of our new X-Men make an appearance in the next Avengers movies, especially considering characters such as Charles Xavier, Beast and Wolverine have made the move to the MCU.

With rumours that Doomsday and Secret Wars will be “a soft reboot” for the MCU, it would only make sense for it to introduce our favourite X-Men.

Luckily that could well come true according to a recent comment by Kevin Feige himself.

When asked about his plans for the X-Men, he said:

"I think you will see that continue in our next few movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize. Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars really leads us into a new age of mutants and of the X-Men."

Additionally, according to insider MyTimeToShine, this new era will be made possible by the creation of a “new universe where Mutants/X-Men have always existed in the MCU”.

It remains to be seen how this will play out but with Avengers: Doomsday expected to hit cinemas in 2026, we don’t have long to wait to find out.
