Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reportedly dropped a huge tease that appears to set up the massive Secret Wars story related to the Incursion.
We’re just over a week away from Spider-Man: Brand New Day officially releasing in cinemas, but already, leaks are making the social media rounds. So, if you’re particularly sensitive to spoilers, then please keep that in mind before reading on.
The tease in question relates to the typical Marvel post-credit scene, and this tease could set up one of the biggest and most anticipated MCU storylines that fans have been waiting years for, the Incursion, which has huge implications on the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027.
The tease in question, originally shared by X user, SukunaFN, apparently happens near the end of Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s credits and involves Ned Leeds’ Spidey Tracker, which, that alone is interesting considering what happened in Spider-Man: No Way Home, when Peter Parker wiped his friend's memory of him, including Mary Jane, to protect them.
If Peter Parker and Ned Leeds are best friends once more in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we’ll just have to wait to see how that came to be later this month. In the MCU, the Spidey Tracker was introduced in Spider-Man: No Way Home to keep track of Peter Parker when he’s hopping between universes.

“At the near end of the post-credit scene, Ned gets a notification from the Spider Tracker, and it pings that Spider-Man is no longer on Earth,” reads the tweet from SukunaFN, sharing an image of Spidey Tracker.

“Incursions?” asked SpecialKind5591, to which Mysterious_Use_8568 replied, “Yes, he is on Battle World.”
“It fits with the rumour of him being part of the resistance with Deadpool/Wolverine, Tobey-Spidey and the young Avengers,” added rubyschnees.
“100% believe it. Not a huge tease, but confirms his involvement in Doomsday/Secret Wars,” said maxfridsvault. “I really think Secret Wars will focus on the characters who've had firsthand experience with the Multiverse—Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, etc.”
While the launch of Spider-Man: Brand New Day doesn't arrive in cinemas until 29 July 2026, there have been some advanced screenings for the lucky few, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that this is how this leak was snapped, meaning that it could be genuine.
Moreover, with the direction the MCU seems to be heading, it also makes a lot of sense. That being said, as with all unconfirmed leaks and rumours, this should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
“It's a brand new day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control,” reads the synopsis of the movie directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings).
“But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”
As for the MCU movies following Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday arrives in cinemas on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. That’s assuming neither suffers a delay.
