Avengers: Doomsday Directors Seemingly Drop Huge Secret Wars Teaser

There is just over a year to go until Avengers: Doomsday heads to the big screen with Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow in 2027 - and a brand new teaser may have just been dropped by those at the core of the MCU.

We may know the extensive cast list and which of our favourite superheroes will be returning and we also know that Robert Downey Jr. will be taking on the role of the next villain Doctor Doom.

However, with the Russo brothers keeping the more minute details close to their chest, it is up to us to piece together what we can expect from the next Avengers movie.

After all, it has been six years since the Avengers as we know them put down their weapons in Avengers: Doomsday.

Now with multiple new characters and storylines introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we can expect a whole new turn of events with Avengers: Doomsday.

That being said, a recent social media post may just reveal that Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will follow our favourite Marvel Comics pretty closely. Spotted by ScreenTime, a social media post was recently shared by AGBO Films, the production company of Joe and Anthony Russo.

In the video, two employees can be seen standing back to back with each sporting a mask: one as Doctor Doom and the other as Iron Man.

The camera pans around the pair which could be a hint in itself.

Are the two Downey Jr. characters two sides of the same coin? Could their stories intertwine?

The theories are endless but some fans believe that this could link to a storyline that takes place in the comics.

How will the Fantastic Four be involved?

In the background, the costumes for our new Fantastic Four can also be seen which lends to this theory as in 2015’s Secret Wars comic book storyline, Doom reigns in Battleworld, an alternate reality that forms after he saves the Multiverse.

In this kingdom, Doom reigns alongside his queen who just so happens to be none other than Sue Storm herself, alongside her children Valeria and Franklin Richards who Doom raises as his own.

Could this video hint at this reality coming true in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars or is it just designed to throw us off the scent?

Well, only time will tell and with over a year to go until Avengers: Doomsday hits cinemas on 18 December, there is still plenty of more time to theorise.
