Superman is almost here; flying into cinemas on 11 July.
I hardly need to tell you that there’s a ton of hype surrounding the film.
It’s a reboot on multiple fronts; it’s a Superman reboot, of course, with David Corenswet taking over the role from Henry Cavill and his brooding take on the Man of Steel.
Additionally, Superman is the first film to debut in the rebooted DCU.

The previous DCEU didn’t fare especially well.
Wonder Woman and The Suicide Squad were … okay … but many films just failed to hit the mark; let’s just say that I don’t think the MCU was feeling any sense of competition.
That could now change though as James Gunn, who has plenty of MCU experience, is heading up the rebooted DCU alongside Peter Safran, and Superman is the first film instalment to swoop into cinemas.
Judging by the trailers, it looks like a decent flick but, of course, we won’t know for sure until those reviews drop.

What has already surfaced online are the film’s supposed post-credits scenes, and they’ve left fans feeling torn.
It goes without saying potential major spoilers lie ahead; these post-credits scenes could be fake, but there’s also the chance they’re very real.
According to ComicBookMovie, as per MyTimeToShine, this leak comes from a screening of the film which had press, influencers, and “hardcore DC fans” in attendance.
"Superman has two post credits scenes, one is Superman with Krypto on the moon looking at the Earth," the insider claimed.

"The second is Superman and Mister Terrific looking at a giant crack in a massive building because the ground split in half during the finale and Supes says it’s crooked and Terrific gets all annoyed and walks away and kicks a rock. It's a funny scene."
Honestly, I think they sound pretty plausible.
They’re both low key, if real, but that makes a lot of sense given that Gunn and Safran’s DCU is barely off the ground.
We’re not going to get too many major teases yet.

Let’s not forget that when the MCU started out, the post-credits scenes hardly teased the types of major crossovers and sequels we see featured today.
Personally, I’m all for that. The juicy post-credits scenes will arrive as the DCU matures, but fellow fans aren’t so convinced.
“Wow, both sound awful,” wrote Elver-Gotas.
“So is every single DCU post credit scene going to be some like goof or unrelated non set up similar to Gunn’s Guardians trilogy?” asked slipperswiper.

One user said they wanted a Darkseid tease, prompting a roasting from fellow fans given how early in the DCU’s life we are.
Of course, we’ll be able to see the real post-credits scenes for ourselves when the film drops on 11 July. We can pass judgement then.
