Who’s excited for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? The highly anticipated sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release in less than four weeks, and it sounds like it’s going to be everything that fans of the first game have been praying for.

GAMINGbible’s very own Will McCue was able to try out the game himself in a three-hour preview session, and he was full of praise for the game’s customisation options, quirky characters and a blessed fast-travel option which Fallen Order was in dire need of.

Take a look at the trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor below.

The devs at Respawn Entertainment may have been hard at work crafting Jedi: Survivor, but it sounds like they already have big ideas for some potential future games. In an interview with GAMINGbible, senior producer Blair Brown told us that he’d be very interested in remaking the classic FPS title Star Wars: Dark Forces.

“I love Dark Forces. Yeah. Old school FPS. Yeah, I love that game,” Brown said when asked what titles he’d love to revisit in the future. “I don’t know if it would hold up right now if I played it but I’d love to see something like that.”

In case you were unfamiliar, Dark Forces follows the tale of mercenary Kyle Katarn, who is tasked with joining the Rebel Alliance’s covert operations division and infiltrating the Empire. While it first released in 1995 for MS-DOS and Mac (known as Macintosh at the time), it came to PS1 the following year, and soon received a sequel on PC titled Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.

Meanwhile, design director Jeff Magers had a very different idea: “Maybe a new Podracing game,” he laughed.

At the time of writing, we don’t know if Respawn is actually going to work on either of these ideas, but fans would definitely be excited to see either happen. Let's watch this space.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on 28 April.
