Not to alarm anyone, but it’s just two days until the final episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Stay calm, folks. The Disney+ miniseries has been going down pretty dang great with Star Wars fans, so much so that people are predictably already asking about a potential second season (which sounds like it may well be on the cards).
Obviously though, with a franchise as massive as Star Wars, there’s so many individual characters who could be explored further, and who better than Darth Vader? Speaking to Screen Rant, Hayden Christensen revealed that he’d love to reprise his role of Vader again, and in a really neat way.
Before we get into it, be sure to take a look at the trailer for Star Wars: Andor, which was revealed at this year's Star Wars Celebration.
“I don’t know. I can't answer that question. I certainly would love to continue with this character, and I feel like there’s more there to do,” he said. “But we’ll see... In preparing for this, I did as much research as I could. And I got to read some of these Darth Vader comics, these standalone comics that just focus on Darth Vader, and [there’s] some really interesting stuff there. I don’t know. But yeah, I would love to get to do this again.”

This follows a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, in which Christensen directly said that he’d be down to do either an Anakin prequel or Vader series on Disney+: “Absolutely,” he said, when asked how he felt about the idea. “To get to do more with this character would be amazing!”
Speaking of Anakin, last week, one talented YouTuber remade the flashback scene from the most recent episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which saw Anakin and Obi-Wan duelling, except they used de-aging technology to make Christensen look younger. It genuinely looks phenomenal, and although de-aging actors has produced some questionable results in the past, there’s little doubt that fans would have loved it if Disney had actually gone for this in the show (not to say that the scene wasn’t great in the first place). With that said, roll on the next episode - there’s not long to wait now.
