Spawn is coming to Call Of Duty, because anything goes at this point

It's been announced that Spawn is heading to Call of Duty Warzone, because anything goes I guess.

The latest Call of Duty crossover character has been unveiled, and it’s none other than the Todd McFarlane-created Spawn.

It’s a busy time in the Call of Duty calendar. As I’m sure you’re aware, we’re gearing up for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The game’s ‘No Russian’ remake is said to be even more disturbing than the original - and we’ve just received our first look at the new open-world Zombies mode. If you simply can’t wait for Modern Warfare III, the beta kicks off very soon and all can get involved. Outside of the next mainline entry, we have Warzone. In recent years, Warzone has become known for its weird and wacky crossovers. Nicki Minaj and Lara Croft are two of the latest to join the fold, and soon you can add Spawn to your ranks.

Take a look at the latest trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s Zombies mode below.

The addition of Spawn to Warzone was announced on the Call of Duty Twitter account. The tweet read, “Spawn is summoned. The underworld rises to Call of Duty in Season 06 on September 27,” with Todd McFarlane adding, “Can’t WAIT for you folks to see this.” I could go on about how weird it is to see a character like Spawn in Warzone but honestly, are we even surprised at these kinds of reveals anymore? Anything goes, as they say.

If you’re unfamiliar with Spawn, the Image Comics superhero debuted back in 1992. A Spawn film arrived in 1997, followed by an animated series in the late 90s. A reboot film is also reportedly on the way, starring Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Renner, so you can kind of understand why adding the character to Call of Duty could drum up some hype for this.

Fans of Warzone had mixed reactions. “Is this Fortnite?” one asked. “Definitely buying this,” added another. “That’s … unexpected,” read one comment. Spawn will land on 27 September.
