The rating for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been leaked, with new details on the remade “No Russian” mission.

Since trailers for the game surfaced online, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fans have honed in on one particular part of the game’s marketing, the “No Russian” mission.

Check out the trailer for the new Zombies mode below

One of the most controversial missions in Call Of Duty history, the mission was featured in the single-player campaign of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). It involved playing as a team of terrorists who entered an airport loaded with assault rifles. The leader then whispers “Remember… no Russian”, before the player if forced to open fire on a crowd of civilians.

It got a lot of backlash online, although some praised it for the shock factor alone, quickly cementing it as one of the most memorable missions in gaming history.

Now that the story of the Modern Warfare games is being remade, many fans were wondering if the mission will make its way into the campaign, and the new ESRB rating seemingly confirms that’ll be the case.

CharlieIntel shared a tweet with the new rating, which to no surprise is M for mature, along with a description of why it was chosen. The description reads: “A handful of sequences depict more intense acts of violence: terrorists taking over an airplane; terrorists (dressed as police officers and paramedics) shooting/killing fleeing civilians inside a stadium concourse; airline passengers getting shot on a plane; prisoners shot inside a cell.”

The scene on the plane is featured in the trailer, which sees an unknown assailant receive a text message saying “No Russian.”

It’s currently unclear whether the scene will just be a cutscene, or whether players will once again take control of a terrorist to commit the atrocious acts.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases on 10 November for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
