Call Of Duty: Warzone has long since abandoned its roots as a semi-realistic shooter and fully embraced madness.

The massively popular battle royale might have started out as a spinoff of the super serious Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, but it's now become a beast all of its own. Over the last few years the game has seen zombies, horror movie icons, and even anime crossovers. But the latest pop culture icon to arrive is, quite literally, the biggest yet.

A trailer for Call Of Duty: Warzone's Season 3 appears to indicate that none other than Godzilla, king of the monsters, is set to show up in the battle royale to cause chaos.

Season 3’s 'Classified Arms' trailer, which you can see above, has a team of agents discovering a strange device while on the hunt for the deadly Nebula gas has that was released by the Nazis. I told you Warzone had kissed reality goodbye.

The device appears to broadcasting a garbled audio signal, and while the quality isn't great, fans were quick to point out that it sounds a heck of a lot like Godzilla's mighty roar.

If you need even more evidence, YouTuber PrestigeIsKey took to Twitter to share a screenshot of what it looks like when you run the broadcast audio through a spectrograph. As you can see below, the words "Monsters Are Real" appear. A second Twitter user then replied with a looping sound of Godzilla’s roar that perfectly matches the audio from the trailer.

Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 3 will arrive on all platforms April 27. I'm sure the Call Of Duty purists out there can't wait to play as Snoop Dogg as they do battle with a massive mutant lizard in a few weeks.
