'Skyrim' Player Finds Out Pickpocketing Can Be Used For Brutal Instant Kills

Skyrim meets Mortal Kombat

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a vast game filled with many secrets. After ten years, some of those secrets have become incredibly well known. Others, less so.

I'll freely admit that I'm still learning new things about Skyrim every day, despite having racked up hundreds of hours across multiple playthroughs. It seems there's a new glitch, hidden trick, or sneaky unexplained feature waiting to emerge every week - and I love it.

Take a look at some of the best Skyrim wins and fails below!

Today, thanks to the always wonderful Skyrim subreddit, I learned that it's actually possible to instantly murder the game's Forsworn enemies by picking their pockets.

As demonstrated by Reddit user lollobis, all you need to do is creep up behind a Forsworn and remove the Briar heart item from their inventory. Since what you've effectively done is pull out their heart, they'll instantly drop down dead. Like many of us, the Forsworn kind of need their hearts to keep on living. Who knew?

Take a look at the trick in action for yourself below.

A few users have pointed out that there's actually a book somewhere in Skyrim that explains removing a Forsworn's heart will kill them, although without knowing you can literally pickpocket their vital organ from them, that does read like fairly generic advice.

If you were wondering, you can also pinch a Daedric heart from any Daedra that happen to be carrying one for an instant kill. But Daedra and Forsworn are the only two groups who foolishly choose to walk around with their greatest weakness in their pockets, so don't expect to be able to creep all over Whiterun nicking organs left right and centre.
