Skyrim: Call Of The Deep is a brand-new 'DLC' you can download now

Skyrim fans can enjoy a brand new DLC-sized expansion called Call Of The Deep.

Bethesda released three big DLCs for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim during its lifetime; Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn, before launching Creations to help bring community-made content to everyone.

Since then, Bethesda has taken a step back from releasing official DLC, and instead has focused on giving modders the tools and resources they need to release new expansions.

At this point, it feels like Skyrim has become everyone’s “forever game”, with new mods and expansions being released pretty much every day until what feels like will be the heat death of the universe.

Skyrim: Call Of The Deep is a new mod by creator arminZX12, and uploaded to Nexus Mods.

As of writing, it’s not available on Creations, but considering the dramatic overhaul the mod brings, that might be asking too much.

The mod features a new quest, with full voice-acting and a new location to visit.

It’s set in an underwater Dwemer city, where mysterious disappearances cause your character to investigate.

The actual questline itself has branching choices and two possible endings, but what’s also exciting is the new underwater city location, R’lyend. It’s not like Rapture or anything, but it’s an interesting new location to explore.

It even has a cool underwater house to own and decorate, which is a pretty big step away from the player houses in the base game.

And of course, there are new weapons, spells, and artifacts to collect.

You can download Skyrim: Call Of The Deep from Nexus Mods for the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.
