The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is meant to be experienced in singleplayer but it works surprisingly well as a multiplayer game.
Bethesda has attempted multiplayer before with varying degrees of success.
The Elder Scrolls Online is fairly popular, and while Fallout 76 was atrocious at launch it’s come a long way and is now good fun to play with friends.
Skyrim on the other hand has never been a game associated with multiplayer until now, as Keizaal Online will finally let you experience one of the best RPGs ever made with over 700 players.
Simply put, Keizaal Online is a fan-made public server that players can join for free, allowing for cooperative adventures throughout the war-torn lands of Skyrim.

It supports a maximum of 750 players and all that’s required to play is a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, either the Special Edition or Anniversary Edition, both of which can be found on Steam.
After a quick installation and set-up you’ll be good to go, allowing you to dive into the server and enjoy all the multiplayer goodness it has to offer.
You can catch a trailer for the server on YouTube along with a link to its launcher, no NexusMods required.
At the time of writing the server isn’t 100% operational as it was only launched around a month ago.
For the time being it’s to be considered a public playtest but the team behind it have promised the full version is coming soon.
That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it though as you’ll still be playing Skyrim in multiplayer, there just might be a few things missing or inaccessible here and there.

Despite it being in the early stages though there are quite a few players already trying it.
The official website features a counter for how many players are currently present in the server and unless it’s lying it currently says there are almost 200 active users, and you could be one of them.
While Keizaal Online is for Skyrim only this does have us wondering if The Elder Scrolls VI will include a multiplayer component…
Something akin to GTA: Online featuring the same map but a different character would be really exciting as long as it doesn’t take too much away from the singleplayer. Perhaps it’d explain why the game is taking so long to develop too.
One thing is certain though even when The Elder Scrolls VI is finally out there’ll still be plenty of gamers still playing Skyrim, we just can’t seem to put it down.
