Xbox Game Pass has confirmed another Elder Scrolls game will be hitting the service later this year.
As we all await any news regarding The Elder Scrolls VI (a crumb of footage, please Bethesda?), it’s as good a time as any to go back and play through some of the older games in the series available.
While you’re probably already firing up Skyrim or Oblivion for another fresh playthrough, Bethesda has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls Online will be coming to Xbox Play Anywhere on 2 June, 2026.
This would also mean the game is coming to Game Pass for PC.
Advert
Previously, The Elder Scrolls Online wasn’t available on Game Pass for PC, instead stuck on the console and cloud versions.
However, the addition of Xbox Play Anywhere will allow PC users to pick the game up using the Xbox app.
This should also mean that those who have enjoyed the game on Xbox can pick up their saves on PC if they wish to switch platforms, and their achievements and other progress should also carry over.

Meanwhile, The Elder Scrolls Online has launched its new season zero today, titled Dawn and Dusk. It runs between 2 April and 8 July, and offers a plethora of new content to enjoy in the MMO.
“This new system introduces a host of rewards you can earn by completing challenges, unlocking Tome pages, and spending Tome Points,” reads a blog post from Bethesda Softworks.
“All ESO players can unlock and earn the Tome of Dawn and Dusk’s free rewards, but for those who want even more reward choices, the Premium Tome and Premium + Bonuses Tome are also available as paid options.
“Rewards within a Tome can include collectibles (such as mounts, costumes, style pages, pets, and more), currencies (such as the new Trade Bars that you can spend in the Gold Coast Bazaar) and items (such as consumables and furnishings).”
Seasons for The Elder Scrolls Online will drop on a quarterly basis, filtering out a regular stream of new locations, quests, and rewards for you to pick up.
Bethesda has also teased a return to Skyrim in 2027, which should be great for any long-time fans of the series who want to return to that snowy northern glory.
