Xbox Game Pass users playing on the Premium tier will soon have access to another Elder Scrolls game at no additional cost.
We recently reported on The Elder Scrolls Online coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC later in the year, but Xbox isn’t finished ensuring a majority of its userbase can play through the modern Elder Scrolls games.
As announced yesterday as part of a wave of new Xbox Game Pass titles, Microsoft will be adding The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered to its Premium tier, the mid-range option for those subscribed to the service.
It’ll be coming to Xbox Game Pass Premium on 16 April, meaning you have just over a week until you can start playing it if you’re not subscribed to the higher tier.

Launching last year on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is a modernisation of the 2006 RPG classic by Bethesda Game Studios.
It includes improved graphics, better controls, more functionality, and has been a decent title to tide us over while we wait for The Elder Scrolls VI.

It’s a pretty nice addition for Xbox gamers who are on Game Pass Premium, retaining that mid-2000s jank but with a modern graphical facelift.
For those who don’t want to fork out extra bucks for the more expensive tier, Premium has been a great option for those on limited budgets. There are quite a few great RPGs available there, like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and The Outer Worlds.
Other games in The Elder Scrolls series that you can play on Game Pass include The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The original Oblivion is also available there, if there’s a reason you prefer that version.
We might recommend playing the original on PC, where you can at least mod the game to bring it up to modern standards. However, the remaster does offer enough quality-of-life improvements that make it more worth playing over the original.
Xbox Game Pass has a stacked lineup this month, with other games hitting the service including Final Fantasy IV, DayZ, Endless Legend 2, FBC: Firebreak, Planet Coaster 2, Tiny Bookshop, Football Manager 26, Hades II, Replaced, The Thaumaturge, EA Sports NHL 26, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Little Rocket Lab, Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato, Vampire Crawlers, and Kiln.
