Skyrim quietly re-released yet again, if you're still keeping count

And no, before you ask, this isn't the often rumoured Samsung Smart Fridge port

If you haven't played Bethesda's much beloved title Skyrim yet (and honestly bravo if so, you're clearly the type of person who does not give into any form of hype) and you happen have a GeForce NOW Ultimate subscription, congrats! You can finally play a 13 year old game!

As noticed by Kosta Andreadis over on TweakTown, those who have an active GeForce NOW subscription can now play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on the cloud gaming service.

The title is dropping alongside several others, including the likes of Gang Beasts and F1 Manager 2024.

I've honestly lost count of exactly how many different platforms and storefronts Skyrim is available on at this point, as newly upgraded versions of the game have launched across three different generations of consoles - from the Xbox 360 to the Nintendo Switch.

There's also the Amazon Alexa version, which is a real thing that exists. This is usually the point where I'd make a joke about Bethesda releasing it on an Etch a Sketch or something, but they already beat me to the punch with that one.

If you haven't actually got around to playing Skyrim yet though, I'm personally not convinced that buying a GeForce NOW Ultimate subscription just for this is worth it.

A GeFORCE Now Ultimate subscription will run you about £20 a month, and Skyrim goes on sale on Steam for way less than that about fifteen times a year.

Owning a temporary, cloud-based version of a 200 hour game vs. just actually owning it outright seems like a simple decision to me, but if you do happen to have a GeForce now subscription and this is your first time hearing about Skyrim's existence then definitely give it a go.

Hey, at least Todd hasn't ported it to a platform of a more intimate variety yet - even though we do have the technology to do so.
