Resident Evil Requiem has been one of the most impressive games of 2026 so far, though that’s mostly due to Leon Kennedy aging like a fine wine.
It really was a requiem for the series too as it tied up loose ends dating all the way back to Resident Evil 2 whilst also teasing what’s to come.
Naturally, all the Resident Evil fans are eager to see what’s next for this world, as it’s only a matter of time before a new threat emerges.
Angela Sant'Albano, the voice actress for Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, spoke to GAMINGbible at this year’s BAFTA Games Awards and teased Grace’s involvement in future games.
Since debuting in Requiem, Grace has quickly become a beloved character by many, and the support Angela Sant'Albano has received since stepping into her shoes hasn’t been lost on the actress.

“It's been a pretty crazy month and a half,” Sant'Albano told us. “The fans have been so lovely and welcoming and when you bring a new character to such an epic, beloved franchise, it can always be a little bit nerveracking. But it's been incredible.”
Sant'Albano’s portrayal of Grace amazed thousands of gamers across the world. Unlike Leon, Grace is entirely new to survival horror and you can tell, as with every flinch or stammered line delivery, players can really feel the fear and anxiety.
“I just sort of would sometimes put myself in Grace's shoes,” said Sant'Albano. “I think that's usually always my method of just trying to find the truth in every scene, and especially with what Grace is going through, the stakes are always so life or death. Just try to put myself in those circumstances and then kind of also take it to the next level.”
When we leave her in Requiem, Grace feels like an entirely different person, but the ending to the game doesn’t feel like a goodbye for the character.

Considering we’ve only just met her and Resident Evil protagonists have a knack for reappearing in future instalments, it seems like Grace is set to make a return as well, and Sant'Albano has high hopes for how that’ll play out.
When asked what she’d like to see from Grace’s inevitable return Sant'Albano said: “I would love to see Grace be able to still feel the fear, but to be able to sort of move through it and channel her intellect and her problem-solving brain more [...] I think in her next step of life, she'll still feel that fear."
Little is known about Resident Evil 10 at the time of writing but the end of Requiem suggests a team-up is on the way.
Leon and Grace are both rescued by Chris Redfield’s team, and while the boulder-punching superhuman doesn’t make an appearance himself, he does leave a message for Leon.
Will the next Resident Evil game be about Leon, Chris, Grace, Claire, Jill and more protagonists teaming up for another biohazard showdown? Only time will tell.
