Red Dead Redemption 3 is coming, Arthur Morgan actor is 'certain'

With all the hype surrounding the debut of the first official trailer for GTA VI, it might be easy to forget about Rockstar Games’ other baby, Red Dead Redemption.

Earlier this week, we were finally treated to the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer and less than 24 hours after its YouTube upload on the Rockstar Games channel, it smashed a previous record set by MrBeast. At the time the GTA VI trailer was just over 69 million views (nice), but it has since crashed through the 100 million barrier.

So what about Rockstar Games’ legendary Wild West series, Red Dead Redemption? Will we get Red Dead Redemption 3 after the release of GTA VI? Red Dead Redemption 2 leading man Roger Clark who played Arthur Morgan certainly hopes so. To be fair, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive has all but confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 3 will be released at some point. After all, it is one of its most successful IPs. Recently, fans have even been speculating that they’d like to see a female lead in Red Dead Redemption 3.

On Twitter a fan asked Roger Clark if he knew anything about Red Dead Redemption 3, knowing that the actor couldn't give away any secrets. Regardless, Clark responded in kind. “I’m certain we will see RDR3 one day. When that will be - I have absolutely no idea. Don’t count on Arthur’s involvement either. His story has been told, I feel,” he replied.

As much as we would love to see the release of Red Dead Redemption 3 it’s important to curb our enthusiasm. For starters, GTA VI isn't being released until 2025. So with that in mind, if we’re lucky, Red Dead Redemption 3 might be released two years later in 2027. That being said, we can probably add at least one or two more years to that estimate.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. At this time, no PC release has been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
