Grand Theft Auto VI is on the way, but you have to wonder what lies in Rockstar Games’ future beyond that.

Presumably, GTA VI will be accompanied by a new online component, replacing GTA Online, but I’m imagining there will be discussions of the studio’s next single-player entry going on too.

I have to say, I’m curious to see Rockstar develop a new IP but, of course, I’d be happy to see Red Dead return to us.

It’s a real testament to Rockstar Games’ impeccable attention to detail that Red Dead Redemption 2 players are still making discoveries in the game’s open-world to this day.

It’s easily one of the best open-worlds of all-time and one that is a delight to return to.

Admittedly, there’s a chance that as a collective group, we’ve uncovered all there is to find across the game’s map but as individuals, that’s rarely ever the case.

For example, did you know that you can find a vampire hiding in Saint Denis?

If you answered no, it’s a long-winded trail that you’re unlikely to complete without guidance.

It’s far from being the only trail that developers hid in the game, as demonstrated by Reddit user OpportunityLow3832.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

“Anyone have a clue just what's going on here? It's a map of Armadillo with the quote on it found in the Strange Man's cabin,” OpportunityLow3832 wrote.

“It says a plan of Armadillo, so I'm assuming it means map, but the weird thing BESIDES the quote is the burning holes for the bodies are on the map. What gives?”

Thankfully, the community was on hand with answers.

“The popular theory is that Herbert Moon (the Armadillo general store owner) made a deal with the Strange Man because he was unhappy that his daughter had decided to marry a Jew, as hinted by a letter you can obtain from him if you loot him,” replied PIERObarza.

“The offering him ‘happiness for two generations’ is that his bloodline would remain ‘pure’ for that time, but in turn the Strange Man would curse Armadillo with Cholera,” they continued.

“Another writing in that cabin says, ‘The Moon will shine on in the darkness’, possibly referring to the fact that Moon is the only one seemingly unaffected by the outbreak.”

I’m going to hold my hands up. I thought I knew a lot of Red Dead Redemption 2 lore, but this is news to me.

“That’s not quite correct. The deal he allegedly made was ‘happiness or two generations’, [...] Like most deals with the Devil stories, he gets what he wants but there’s a big old catch,” adds dronebox.

Well, he sounds like an absolutely vile fellow who got his comeuppance, but if you do want to experience this all for yourself, venture over to Bayall Edge to find the Strange Man’s cabin.
