Red Dead Redemption 2 players stunned by St Denis secret 'you'd never find on your own'

Red Dead Redemption 2 players stunned by St Denis secret 'you'd never find on your own'

A grisly and complex trail awaits

It’s no secret that Red Dead Redemption 2 is packed with, well, secrets.

Rockstar Games totally excelled when they created this open world, packing it with so many layers of detail and intrigue that we’re still talking about it to this day, six years on from launch.

Many of these secrets, players are simply able to stumble across themselves, but for some, you may need pointing in the right direction.

That’s certainly the case for the one I wish to highlight today.

I’d love to know who first discovered that Saint Denis is harbouring a vampire because I have to say, I don’t think I’d have found this in a million years on my own.

I’m not alone in feeling this way.

“Wait, there’s a f**king vampire in St. Denis?” wrote Reddit user COV3RTSM just yesterday.

See? There’s still plenty to unpack in this game.

While you’re here, take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

In the south-east of Saint Denis, you’ll find mysterious passages scrawled on various walls, and this is your starting point.

You’ll need to collect them all.

The first is located near to the Trapper and Fence, the second across from Doyle’s Tavern, while the third is located in an apartment block courtyard not too far from Gaillard’s Shoes.

The fourth one is located in an alley not too far from Jade Dragon, and the final passage can be found near the General Store.

For in-depth instructions, you can follow a tutorial by YouTuber GTA Series Videos.

Once you have noted down the scrawlings, the location of the vampire will be marked on your map as ‘Corpse’.

It’s an alley to the south of Saint Denis’ cathedral that you’ll want to visit at night.

You should be able to find a vampire enjoying the blood of a poor unsuspecting victim, but only between the in-game hours of 12am and 1am.

I bet you can see what I mean about that being pretty hard to figure out for yourself, especially as the scrawlings are somewhat well hidden.

If you’ve yet to embark on this grisly trail though, it’s well worth giving a go.
