One Red Dead Redemption 2 player has found an adorable new open world event after 1,500 hours of game time.

Initially released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption 2 can not only be considered one of Rockstar Games’ greatest triumphs but with scores as high as 97 on Metacritic, it’s firmly established as one of the greatest games of all time.

Take a look at some of our favourite RDR2 wins and fails below.

Rockstar’s western action adventure is arguably its most immersive game to date, not only with its well-written story and a superb cast of actors, but its world is absolutely gorgeous brimming with life in every corner. This is why after nearly five years, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to be the gift that keeps on giving.

One such newly discovered event was shared by Reddit user didihearathunder. The event in question involves an adorable dog climbing onto the back of a horse carriage, presumably about to embark on an adventure with his parent. Sure, this may only seem like a very small detail, but it’s these small events that combine to make Red Dead Redemption 2 as immersive as it is. “Sweeeeet, the first time I've seen a dog hop on a wagon like that. And he gets all cosy too lol love the details in this game,” responded TastyBirds. “Oh yep, me too. So many hours and still so many little things to notice,” replied the instigator of the thread.

“I don't think GTA V came even close to this level of detail in the single-player mode. I have high hopes for GTA VI but idk if it will be as detailed as this game is,” said riah8. “I hope this much effort goes into GTA VI. It’s the small things like this in RDR2 that make the game feel so alive” suggested iamsephal.

In related news, a new Red Dead Redemption 2 mod has not only extended its massive world map but has also introduced locations from the 2010 game. Yeehaw.
