A new Mass Effect game is in development, but it’s yet to receive a formal reveal.
Instead, BioWare has a tendency to tease fans with a tiny little sneak peak every N7 Day which, aptly, lands on 7 November.
Given this brevity, it’s perhaps safe to assume that the next mainline Mass Effect game remains several years away from release.
In the meantime, I have something today that may bring a smile to your face, especially if you’re also a fan of tabletop gaming.
Modiphius Entertainment has unveiled eight new sets of miniatures for Mass Effect: The Board Game - and they look fantastic.

Designed to be used with Mass Effect the Board Game - Priority: Hagalaz, the sets range in cost from £30 to £45.
They include the following:
You can pre-order all of those sets from Modiphius now, with orders expected to ship in May, so you don’t have too long to wait.
Of course, you don’t have to use these with Mass Effect: The Board Game if you don’t wish.
Modiphius raises the very good point that they simply make excellent collector’s pieces and could just be displayed on a shelf.
There is an interesting note to say, “The miniatures that are too large to fit on the board come with both a smaller scaled mini-marker and a full size version scaled correctly against the other minis.”

The miniatures are unpainted, so you may simply delight in grabbing some paints and getting creative - especially if you already have a ton of supplies for something like, say, Warhammer 40,000.
If you’re unfamiliar with Mass Effect: The Board Game, it works much like the base game.
You’ll select a squad of teammates, upgrade their abilities, partake in loyalty missions, and fend off enemies in a branching, narrative campaign with varying endings and Paragon/Renegade cards.
It’s excellent if you’re yet to try it.
