Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to impress nearly five years after its release, allowing its players to enjoy its stunning visuals, side content, and its spectacular attention to detail. It’s so detailed, that players are still finding new things to discover in the open-world as well as its dialogue and NPCs.

There’s also a dedicated community of modders, who spend hours and hours creating additional content to add to Rockstar’s masterpiece, with many focused on expanding the game’s already massive world.

These expansions often revolve around Mexico, an area that appears as part of the in-game map but is inaccessible outside out of glitches and modding tools. Mexico could be visited in the first Red Dead Redemption by following the main story, which led many players to assume the same could be said for the second installment.

Mexico’s inclusion on the world-map also led many players to believe Rockstar would open up the area as part of a DLC expansion, though this is simply not the case, in fact it seems the developer is finished with Red Dead Redemption 2, as it focuses development on the Grand theft Auto VI.

Don’t worry though, modders are on hand to do it themselves, as several creators have made their own Mexico expansion, which have all been combined for the definitive overhauled experience.

Mexico V1.1 is a combination of Mexico mods created by users RedMaxBR, SergeantJoe, AClassySliceOfToast and DuPz0r. The description reads: “A megapack containing all of the lore-friendly Mexico map expansions from various creators.”

The mod features a variety of places for the player to visit, including shacks, towns, railroads etc all of which fit the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 perfectly. The mod has done a tremendous job of grouping the expansions together, opening up more of the world players have enjoyed exploring.

Of course these aren’t the only mods worth checking out. Other talented modders have designed new and original crimes and heists not found in the original game, as well as an overhaul mod that can turn the player into a bounty-hunter.
