Whilst patiently waiting for Grand Theft Auto VI, fans are still discovering new details in Rockstar’s western, Red Dead Redemption 2, four years after its release.

Since it’s release, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to blow fans away with it’s impressive attention to detail, often surprising players with events and dialogue that wouldn’t be expected in the majority of games.

One obscure detail has been discovered for the very first time, involving the final Mary Linton mission, and a very intoxicated Arthur Morgan. The mission involves stealthily following Mary’s father through the streets of a town, and if the player drinks enough to make Arthur intoxicated, he loudly blurts out some unique lines of dialogue, before being scolded by Mary for nearly giving them away.

Reddit user saiyangod223 shared a clip he found of the humorous moment, much to the enjoyment of fellow fans, who were blown away by the Rockstar’s dedication to thinking of every possibility when developing the game.

“I think the devs are perfectionists, there's no reason for this. Like who did this?”

“‘Forgive me. I’m slightly intoxicated’ I don’t know why, but the delivery of that line has me in stitches.”

“Details like this are why RDR2 continues to have me in a chokehold five years after its release.”

One player saw the obscure detail as another reason to play the game again, this time, as a drunken cowboy on every mission, stating: ”Gtfo! Can’t believe the devs attention to detail. Now wanna get Arthur hammered on every mission and see if any of the dialogue changes.”

It’s amazing that nearly five years after its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 is still blowing fans away with hidden details and features, allowing players to play the game how they like and make their own fun.
