Since its launch back in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 has galloped its way into the gaming hall of fame with a compelling story mode and an open-world that always seems to have something new to find.

Unfortunately, once you’ve seen everything Red Dead Redemption 2 has to offer, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a reason to continue playing that isn’t starting over from the beginning.

Luckily, players wanting a little more out of their playtime, and don’t fancy the criminally unsupported Red Dead Online, can now download a mod that’ll completely overhaul their game, adding new missions, heists and even skill trees.

The Life Of Crime mod, created by Nexus Mods user CruelMasterMC, enables players to create a brand new character using the in-game character creator, and explore the open-world in a completely different way.

A skill tree will be added, allowing players to unlock different abilities for their character and make life in the outdoors a little bit easier, and it’ll be worth putting some time into this before tackling some of the various missions and heists available to play through.

Speaking of which, the missions and heists live up to the Life Of Crime title, as they’ll have the player committing an assortment of outlaw-ish acts to acquire their ill-gotten gains. These include robbing banks, robbing people, a train heist and more.

CruelMasterMC explained in his post that he plans to add more variety to the crimes that can be perpetrated by the player, such as additional heists, bounty-hunting missions etc.

Players can then use the cash they’ve procured to purchase new items and weapons, as well as some stylish outfits and accessories to make their character unique.

So if you’re a die-hard fan of Rockstar’s cowboy adventure game and fancy trying it out in a different way, this might be exactly what you’re looking for, at least until we get a Red Dead Redemption remake…

The Life Of Crime mod is downloadable from Nexus Mods for PC players only.
