Red Dead Redemption 2: Life Of Crime mod turns game into an RPG

You've had some cowboys in here

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games ever made, so you have to wonder why Rockstar Games doesn't really seem to support it.

I mean, I guess we all know why, really: GTA VI. Still, given all the time and attention GTA Online gets, you'd hope Rockstar would throw a bone to Red Dead Redemption 2 every once in a while. No bones for us cowboys, though.

Take a look at some of the best Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below!

Despite the fact players are seemingly always stumbling across something new in the game's vast open world, there's very little new content being added regularly. By which I mean none. There's no new content ever added to the game.

The good news is that modders are on hand to do what Rockstar Games won't. The Life Of Crime mod, created by Nexus Mods user CruelMasterMC, enables players to turn Red Dead Redemption 2 into more of an RPG, bringing in the character creator from Red Dead Online and giving players the chance to interact with the world in a different way.

Life Of Crime leans into the RPG theme by adding a skill tree in which players can upgrade set abilities and survival skills, and even adds new missions and heists to play through.

Given the size and beauty of Red Dead Redemption 2's open world, it seems a shame to limit it to just one game. While Life Of Crime isn't exactly a full sequel, it definitely feels like a worthy expansion that refreshes and adds a new perspective to a world many of us have already thoroughly explored. Also you can play the game without having to go through the laboriously slow first chapter again, and I honestly think that's a huge win.

Given that Red Dead Redemption 3 is still a long, long time away by all accounts, this is definitely one mod you'll want to check out.
