Red Dead Redemption 2 mod greatly expands the game's map

Red Dead Redemption 2's map just got a whole lot bigger

I think we can all agree Red Dead Redemption 2 boasts one of most detailed and expansive maps in gaming. But what if you're a greedy little gamer that wants even more? We've got you covered.

While it's been five years since Red Dead Redemption 2 released, the western still has a loyal fan base that keeps the game alive, even when Rockstar won't. While the base game is full of secrets that fans everywhere are still finding themselves amazed by, there are plenty of unofficial expansions that enhance the experience. After all, most of us have long since abandoned the dream of Rockstar dropping single-player DLC.

Take a look at some of the best Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below!

The Out Of Bounds mod greatly expands the open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 by allowing players to step foot in areas that had previously been walled off by the developer. Granted, many of these areas were walled off for a reason, but the most curious among you who have already scoured every inch of the game's map will no doubt be glad of an opportunity to explore more areas.

Not only does this mod let you wander through fields and forests that were previously only meant to be viewed from a distance, but it lets other modders build on the world, adding new structures and quests in the relatively sparse areas.

This is a perfect mod to install alongside other incredible pieces of work, like the one that adds 48 brand-new missions or even one that introduces terrifying monsters to Red Dead Redemption 2. Considering we're unlikely to see Red Dead Redemption 3 any time this century, it's wonderful to see the fans continue to work together to build on one of the greatest video games of all time.
