Red Dead Redemption 2 has just got a new map expansion, and it looks incredibly useful for the game’s epilogue.
The map of Red Dead Redemption 2 is huge (some might say too huge), but for nearly the entire story you’re kept away from a large chunk of it.
The west side of RDR2’s map only really becomes available to you once you’ve progressed far into the epilogue. But it doesn’t quite feel as developed as the rest of the map.

As a result, it always felt a little dull when you finally got to explore it.
Compared to the rest of the map, it just felt like there wasn’t as much to do as there was elsewhere.
A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 aims to overhaul this by adding new camps, props, and other world events to this side of the map.
With the Camps And Such...... West Map Expansion mod, you’ll find new camp spots available in the West Elizabeth area around Strawberry and Blackwater, as well as a few more further south towards New Austin.

As mod creator ‘Bobby’ puts it, the expansion allows this area in the game to feel “more ambient and lively” with the new camps and town additions.
There are two versions of the mod, one for players who haven’t hit the epilogue yet, and those who have.
The latter version removes one camp near Beecher’s Hope, since that area becomes a permanent player home during the epilogue.
The Camps and Such mod pairs very nicely with the Project New Austin 1907 expansion, which aims to overhaul the area to appear more like it does in the first Red Dead Redemption.

This mod features new buildings, colour schemes, and other props to bring it more in line with the original game, making it a great one for fans of Red Dead Redemption.
