With open world video games comes the opportunity to run into all sorts of weird and random events and characters. Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exemption and despite the Rockstar title already being full to the brim with such events, one modder can’t help but add some more.

Red Dead Redemption 2 gives players the chance to run into all sorts of people including gunslingers who want a shooting contest, victims of kidnap shouting for help or even fellow gang members asking about your whereabouts. With the open-world title being full to the brim of open-world events, one modder has gone above and beyond by adding even more chance encounters to the game.

Check out some epic wins & fails from Red Dead Redemption 2 below!

The mod titled ‘Ambient Random Events’ on Nexus Mods includes “random stuff (mostly shootouts) happening around the player sometimes to make the world feel a bit more alive” according to creator, crossed99. The mod will add random events such as a bounty hunter trying to track someone down, fist fights between groups of people and the occasional shootout to the game.

The events can happen anywhere on the map and at random times. Additionally, they can also end in a handful of ways such as fugitives getting away and the bounty hunter themselves being killed. Arthur could also find himself in trouble with the law if he decides to get himself involved.

This is just one of hundreds of mods created to improve the already incredible Red Dead Redemption 2. We recently reported on the Nuevo Paraiso mod which adds a giant new area to the game’s map as well as another that will let you build your very own island home.

With Red Dead Redemption 2 still being hailed as an untouchable masterpiece on its fifth anniversary, it is lovely to see the modding community still working to keep the Rockstar title alive.
