Red Dead Redemption 2 is, put simply, one of the most stunning open world video games ever made. I know it, you know it, your nan probably knows it.
Rockstar Games' 2018 Western classic remains a technological marvel, and the fact Red Dead Redemption 2 still looks better than 99 percent of video games today bodes incredibly well for GTA 6. We just wish there were more updates to help that gorgeous open world feel a little more alive.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a pretty perfect game to play at Christmas. There are snow-capped mountains, fires to gather around with friends, and lots of booze to drink. You can also break into people's houses, much like Santa, though I very much doubt Santa ever broke someone's jaw and grabbed a gold watch from the dresser after dropping the presents off.
If you want to get festive in Red Dead Redemption 2, I'd point you towards this gorgeous Strawberry Xmas mod. This mod does exactly what it says on the tin, and gives Red Dead Redemption 2's Strawberry a lovely Christmas makeover.

It's not the most substantial mod out there, I grant you, but seeing the town decked out in colourful fairy lights and snow is a whole vibe. If nothing else it'll make you feel even worse about the time you went there with Micah and murdered half the population in a bloody gunfight. I know I'll never forget that.
