A Red Dead Redemption 2 player has discovered an alternate ending to a mission that many of us wished would be an official way to conclude events in Strawberry town.
I think the hate for Micah Bell, one of the main antagonists of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2, makes him one of the most despised video game characters in recent memory.
Just a heads up, before we proceed, I will be venturing into spoiler territory for the seven-year-old game. But if you’re reading this, why haven't you finished Red Dead Redemption 2 already?

This skin-crawling weasel, yet ruthless killer, manipulates gang leader Dutch van der Linde to the point that he becomes the villain of the story. You don’t notice Micah’s antics at first but by the time you do, it’s way too late.
Sadly, even when you do spot the signs, there’s nothing you can do, which adds to the dread and heartbreak of knowing that you cannot save Dutch, no matter what (at least, officially).

However, there is a mission early-on in Strawberry that involves Arthur Morgan breaking Micah out of jail. Sure, it’s not an official ending and it wont progress that mission, but at that moment, it will at least give you a small slice of satisfaction.
“Red Dead Redemption 2 Alternate Ending,” posted Reddit user NavJongUnPlayandwon with a laughing emoji.
A gameplay clip features Arthur talking to Micah while he’s behind bars, and rather than proceeding with the mission as intended, the player storms into the jail, killing all NPCs, and throws a stick of dynamite at Micah in his cell with the added humour of editing in the end credits.

“If only they put this in as a secret ending,” replied Dupy3381.
“Honestly, I didn’t even know you could just run into the jail, kill everyone, and free Micah from there. I’m going to replay that mission just to try it,” said Fox7567.
“Each playthrough, I always avoid this mission as late as possible ever since playing it for the first time. Micah should've stayed where he belongs,” exclaimed LatterCook4070.
“Imagine if Arthur just shot him in the head through the bars and then lied to Dutch, saying Micah tried to break out and got shot by the law,” suggested a Reddit user. If only that were possible.
