Red Dead Redemption 2 players discover a secret chest of loot that we all missed.
The open world of Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most impressive maps that players will have the pleasure of exploring, even nearly seven years after its original launch in 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Not only is it packed full of fun activities such as casino games, hunting, fishing, train heists, bounty hunting and much more, but its wild west world set in the late 1890s looks absolutely gorgeous and is brimming with life.

What’s more, the open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to look even more gorgeous, if rumours of an official remaster set to be released later this year are true.
So, with a map as vast as Red Dead Redemption 2, it should come as no surprise that there are still secrets which players are learning of today, such as the treasure chest brought to our attention by the YouTube channel, spdxstream.
The treasure chest in question can be discovered under the Cathish Jackson homestead, owned by Algie Davidson, who lives with his son, Nate.
If you’ve played and finished the campaign of Red Dead Redemption 2, there’s a good chance that you’ll remember this particular father and son duo.

Without giving too much away, Algie has a gambling and alcohol addiction, which resulted in massive debt and his wife leaving him and his son. At some point, Algie borrowed money from a loan shark, and rather than spending it on food and water, he gambled it away.
This leads to you, as Arthur Morgan, to collect the debt on behalf of a loan shark. When Arthur approaches Algie, he denies having money to pay back the loan, and I’ll leave it at that, just in case you’ve not played this mission.
However, unbeknownst to most of us, Algie has a secret stash of luxuries hidden under his house. The exact location is shown in the short video uploaded by spdxstream.
This secret is just one of the many delights that have players returning to Red Dead Redemption 2, and no doubt, even more secrets will be shared in the coming months, especially if the rumoured remaster does indeed arrive.
