A new month means a new selection of games arriving on the PlayStation Plus service and it looks as though October is shaping up to be an exciting month according to fans.

Members of PlayStation Plus are in for another exciting month this October with three exciting titles heading to the service. The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22 and Weird West will be available to download and fans have agreed this is quite an exciting collection.

Take a look at what you can expect from Weird West below!

Gamers took to r/PlayStationPlus to share their thoughts on the selection starting with The Callisto Protocol, a 2022 survival horror game by Striking Distance Studios. As the spiritual successor to the Dead Space series, one Reddit user says the game is “a perfect addition to PS Plus”. Another claims they were waiting for The Callisto Protocol to arrive to the service to try it for themselves after it received negative reviews at launch. As of now, the game sits at a ‘mixed’ rating on Steam with many criticising its unimaginative gameplay.

One fan claims they are “super excited for Weird West. Was close to buying it a few times but felt it was also perfect for PS+ eventually.” The action RPG was released in March 2022 and is set in the Wild West where lawmen and gunslingers share the land with fantastical creatures. Although some users claim to have struggled with the game’s controls, they also say “It’s a pretty good game... The story is suitably mysterious and weird (with werewolves, pigmen and witches)”.

Last but not least, Farming Simulator 22 is the latest in the long-running simulation franchise which tasks players with owning and running your own farm. One Reddit user is excited for it to fill a Stardew Valley shaped hole - “Honestly I find myself pretty excited for farming simulator. I tried Stardew Valley for the first time recently, and admittedly it hooked me for maybe 8 hours, but literally the only thing I wanted to do in that game was build my farm. Everything else was really boring to me. Farming Simulator feels like a hard-core version of everything I was looking for in Stardew.”

Not only does October have a good selection but November is looking to follow suit with the arrival of Teardown on 15 November.
