PlayStation have dropped several new free downloads and no PS Plus subscription is needed to redeem them.

The free download is courtesy of the official PlayStation app on mobile devices. The PS App allows you to keep track of Trophies, which friends are online playing, the latest deals and releases on the digital store, and more - all of this at the touch of a finger.

A new addition to the app is PlayStation Stars, Sony’s take on Microsoft Rewards from its rival over on the green brand. PS Stars rewards players for completing weekly objectives, whether it be achieving a certain milestone in a game, playing the latest PS Plus releases or making a purchase from the digital store.

Take a look at exactly what PlayStation Stars entails below.

Upon completing objectives, players will be rewarded with points that can be used to redeem credit for the PS Store, avatar items to be displayed on your PS Stars profile, or you can even claim free games including The Quarry from Supermassive Games - and now, the latest June freebies have arrived.

As published on the PlayStation Blog, PS Stars members can claim 50 free points for playing NBA 2K23, a title included in the PS Plus June 2023 games. What’s more, you can earn an additional 50 points by playing PSVR2 titles Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil Village, Gran Turismo 7, No Man’s Sky, Tetris Effect: Connected, Kayak VR: Mirage.

PS Stars members can also acquire new digital items to display on their profile including the Lurker from Dead Space, a pair of PlayStation 3D Glasses, and a scarlet red PS3 console. Oh, and we’re also getting a new selection of display cabinets to choose from, including ones inspired by God of War, The Last of Us and Uncharted.

The latest PlayStation Stars campaigns and collectable items will begin to roll out today on 1 June 2023.
