PlayStation drops free store credit you can claim now, no PS Plus needed

One of your final chances to nab some points

PlayStation Stars’ end is nigh.

As I’m sure you’re now aware, PlayStation’s loyalty scheme is already in the midst of drawing to a close ahead of a permanent shutdown.

The programme accepted its last new members last month, and members will only be able to earn new points and digital collectibles until 23 July.

At that point, the service becomes pretty redundant, with users simply available to access and redeem their points balance until November 2026.

It’s with this in mind that I inform you that PlayStation Stars’ current campaigns are likely to be among its last so if you do want to bag some last-minute points, you need to act quickly.

Thankfully, you can do just that via the new ‘Multiplayer Mayhem’ campaign.

There’s 50 points up for grabs here.

As always, you need to head to the PlayStation Stars section of the PS App to activate the campaign, otherwise any relevant actions will not be tracked.

Once you’ve done this, you simply need to play one of three games.

“We love our single-player experiences, but sometimes gaming with friends is where it’s at,” reads the description.

“Grab your mates and play any one of these great games to find fun and score some points.”

The games in question are Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Deep Rock Galactic, and Marvel Rivals.

Given that Marvel Rivals is free-to-play, you don’t need to spend a penny here.

Plus, there’s no rules regarding how long you need to play for. In theory, simply loading up Marvel Rivals should secure you those 50 points.

As a reminder, you’ll need 1,250 points to redeem £5 of free store credit, but those 50 could be just what you needed to push you over the finish line.

Don’t forget that you’ll also earn points on all PlayStation Store purchases, so it’s well-worth having a browse of the current sales.
