Steam users can now claim 16 free games and download them right away.
If you’re a gamer on a tight budget, playing free games is often a good way of building up your library without breaking the bank.
After all, not everyone has the money to buy every new AAA game at full price, which is where the appeal of free games comes in.

If that applies to you—you’re in luck, as 16 free games have been released on Steam this week for you to check out.
Four of these games have been added today, which are as follows:
- Roguebots Arena - A PvP arena shooter with roguelike mechanics, where you need to combine skills and abilities to defeat your enemies.
- My Last 20 - A brutal arcade experience where 20 seconds is all you get to win.
- Hailstorm - A new take on the classic break breaking arcade game.
- Voice of the Ocean - A single-player adventure about a lost world, and the echoes of a forgotten past.
There aren’t really enough user reviews here to understand just how well received these games are (most have only a handful of reviews), however most seem to be short experiences with small download times, so it’s not a huge investment if you’re interested in them.

In addition to these four, we also reported on these games going free earlier in the week:
- Sky Die
- 100 Men vs 1 Gorilla
- Cube Foundry
- SolCycle
- Prima Materia XXV
- Asteroid Forward
- Free Strategy Chess Game
- Felt Mansion
- InspoQuest
- Monsters, Briefcase and Road
- Mr. Photographer - Into the Light
- Rainbow Crown
We expect there’ll be more free games hitting the Steam store next week, and the week after that, and after that.
And so on, and so forth. It’s an endless cycle, but good to keep you busy if you’re waiting for payday before buying the next big budget AAA game.
