Xbox Series X gamers urged to change one setting for instant graphics boost

Xbox Series X gamers urged to change one setting for instant graphics boost

This is how to get the most out of your Xbox graphics

Looking to get their best graphics out of your Xbox Series X? Make sure you’re checking your settings.

While the latest generation of console gaming can deliver graphics comparable to PCs, they don’t always yield the best results possible.

Take a look at the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, coming to Xbox later this year and PlayStation 5 next year!

That’s not necessarily the fault of the console, more so the TV you’ve got it plugged into.

While you’d need a really good TV to get the most out of your console, most HD models will be more than enough for home gaming purposes.

In order to get the most out of it though you’ll have to mess around with the settings on your Xbox.

There are plenty of handy video guides to really level-up your graphics, but we’ll just briefly go over the basics here.

If you haven’t calibrated your TV to the console yet, that's the first thing you’ll want to do, as your Xbox will communicate with your console in order to get the best picture.

For those with 4K TVs there should be a list you can view telling you what your TV is capable of, and all boxes should be ticked aside from the 120hz bit, which is more of a new feature for TVs in recent years.

After that you can change your console to video mode and alter its video fidelity for more fine-tuned graphics, which more often than not will be the end of your setting configuration.

Also don’t forget most TVs now have a Game Mode feature, which will give you clearer and smoother frames while you’re gaming.

There are a lot of settings to mess around with, and finding the right ones will depend on your current TV set-up.
