Xbox Free Play Days is back again. This weekend, there are five games included, four of which you don’t need a Game Pass subscription to enjoy.
All Xbox users can now play Demonschool and The Stone of Madness until the end of the day on Sunday, July 5.
While usually there’s no limit on how far you can progress during Free Play Days, these two games are only allowing users two hours of access.
Demonschool is a fantastic 2025 tactical RPG from Necrosoft Games and Mystic Systems that follows Faye, who’s attending university on a strange and mystical island.

As both Faye and her companions, you’ll “defeat big weirdos in between the human and demon worlds”. It boasts a score of 76 on Metacritic.
The Stone of Madness, on the other hand, is a tactical stealth game set within an 18th century Spanish monastery.

Five prisoners team up to uncover the mysteries of the monastery, “stave off insanity”, and find a way to escape.
If you like what you play, you can pick the full version up for $9.89 for a limited time instead of $29.99. Pricing will vary by region.
Unlike those aforementioned games, the following free titles don’t have a two-hour limit.
The headliner of this Free Play Days is Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which only landed last year.
Admittedly, the Call of Duty franchise is struggling with gamers feeling a tad fatigued by yearly offerings.
Still, if you haven’t yet tried this entry out, now might be the perfect time to.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is available until the end of the day on Monday, July 6 and, again, there’s no progression limit.
You can get the full version for $55.99 instead of $69.99 for a limited time.
Blizzard Entertainment’s 2023 hit Diablo IV is also included.
This action RPG needs no introduction, boasting acclaimed solo and multiplayer campaigns.
Still supported with expansions and new seasons to this day, Diablo IV continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
It’s free to try until the end of Tuesday, July 7 with the full version on offer for $29.99 instead of $49.99.
If you’re subscribed to any of Game Pass’ tiers, you can also try Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure out.

This one is available until the end of Sunday, July 2, and is a cosy adventure that sees players explore a magical island either alone or with friends.
You’ll farm, build a home, battle monsters, and befriend magical creatures. The full version is discounted to $11.99 instead of $23.99.

It’s one of Free Play Days’ best line-ups in recent memory, but perhaps that’s to distract us from Xbox’s bigger problems.
