As I’m sure you’re now aware, Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer recently arrived and to say that it dazzled us would be an understatement.

Visually, GTA VI is shaping up to be one of the most impressive games I’ve ever seen. Rockstar Games devs have already promised that its open world will push the limits of what’s possible. Fans have also been assured that the gameplay will look just as good as the trailer. While the trailer does look like a pre-rendered cinematic, it’s actually in-engine footage, giving us a glimpse of just how technically advanced GTA VI will be. Fans are already looking for clues regarding just how big the open-world is. This is all very exciting but it does lead one to wonder how a console like the Xbox Series S is going to deal with these demands.

Take a look at the GTA VI trailer below.

I happen to be an Xbox Series S console owner and while, yes, it does have its limitations every now and then, I’m a big fan of this compact little bit of kit. I wish I could say that GTA VI fans had taken to Reddit to sensibly discuss what adjustments might be made on the Xbox Series S but no. They’ve taken to the site to totally roast the console. Admittedly, it is a funny joke. Reddit user JustCropIt wrote, “Limitations of Xbox Series S and how Rockstar is dealing with it,” accompanied by a picture of the trailer’s beach … except without the hundreds of NPCs.

“This image is how it would look if some people got their wish of a PS4 release,” user arta_dratista added, whileQCHICK added, “Vice City, April 2020,” referencing the month the world shut down. The post has, at the time of writing, gathered an impressive 2.5K upvotes.

The Series S is generally an underestimated console, in my opinion. The main difference between the two consoles is simply that the Series S will run graphics at a marginally lower resolution but I have no doubt that Series S GTA VI players will still have a fantastic time.
