It is the sad truth that Grand Theft Auto VI is still just under a year away from release and with plenty of time still left to wait, fans are starting to feel tired.
Earlier this year saw Rockstar announced that it would be delaying the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI from Fall 2025 to 26 May 2026.
Although this meant that we now have an exact release date rather than a release window, it was still a blow to learn that we had to wait yet another year for perhaps the most anticipated game of all time.
Well, perfection takes time and Rockstar placated fans by releasing the second official trailer for GTA VI, offering viewers a better look at brand-new protagonists Jason and Lucia and their Bonnie and Clyde-esque adventures across the state of Leonida.

As of right now, we do not yet know when we will receive the next trailer or any update at all but a recent event may just mean that news is on the way.
That is because Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive has scheduled its next earnings call for 7 August and it is common for these meetings to come alongside new information about some of its recent projects, i.e, Grand Theft Auto VI.
So much so that one user over on r/rockstar recently asked, “Could GTA 6 updates be coming?” in regards to the earnings call.
However, user CollinKree was not feeling as optimistic when they replied, “No. There will probably just be a vague blanket statement saying their projects are on time, and that there will be MASSIVE profits in Q1 of the 2027 fiscal year.”

On the other hand, BossVision_ram is maintaining some hope.
“It would be so awesome if they said they’re ahead of schedule on GTA 6,” they wrote.
That being said, with the majority of the users in this thread merely staying “no”, it seems as though the long wait for GTA VI is starting to get to some and I don’t blame them.
Let us just hope that Rockstar’s next title will be worth the wait.
