Xbox users can enjoy a free, exclusive Cyberpunk 2077 download right now.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since its initial release, as CD Projekt Red has worked tirelessly to fix its mistakes. Fans have loved every minute of its redemption, firmly believing that if the game was released in its current state it’d be eligible for Game Of The Year.

Take a look at the new and improved Cyberpunk 2077 below

Now players on Xbox can enjoy an exclusive freebie that’ll make their home screens look extra snazzy. It’s a new dynamic background that should be available on your console right now.

Dynamic backgrounds are basically moving screensavers Xbox users can equip to their home screens. While there are some glorious original designs, the best are ones themed after the latest and greatest games on the platform, like Halo Infinite or Starfield.

The new Cyberpunk 2077 background features the protagonist V, katana in hand, looking out onto the neon-lit streets of Night City as lights flicker and one of the game’s flying cars floats in the background. You can access the background via your console settings under the Personalisation tab.

It’s just one of the many surprises CD Projekt Red has in store for its fans, as many patiently wait for news on the next game by the developer.

The Witcher 4 will presumably be the company’s next big release, and will potentially follow Geralt once again on a new adventure. In the far future, fans can expect another Cyberpunk game which is currently in development using the latest Unreal Engine 5 tools. Not much is known about the project but it’s believed the game will take players to a new location outside of Night City, and will hopefully be a finished game come launch day.

In the meantime, Xbox players can enjoy their shiny new freebie and hope CD Projekt Red has even more surprises in store for 2024.
