I think it’s fair to say that 2023 is one for the history books. We’ve already had The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 4, and Starfield just to name a few - and there are so many more incredibly exciting games on the way. While the focus may be on heavy hitters like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, let’s not forget that Ghostrunner 2 is also releasing soon. It’s set to launch on 26 October - and you can currently sample a demo of the game over on Steam.

Take a look at Ghostunner 2 in action below.

Set inside the Dharma Tower, the demo sees players face off against a group of cultists - throwing them into several combat encounters, showcasing the game’s latest techniques and abilities. Cybernetic ninja protagonist Jack will be dealing plenty of damage from atop his trusty motorcycle but this time, we’ll also get to grips with a new ‘block and perfect parry’ system as well as an overhauled progression system.

Ghostrunner 2 will also introduce Shurikens (which can take down enemies and unlock doors), Tempest (a shockwave that deflects projectiles and hits multiple enemies), a Sensory Boost (slows time), and a Grapple which is pretty self explanatory.

The demo is actually available for all to play. While you can grab it for free on Steam, you can also find the game on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store for PS5 users, and Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X/S users. It’s well worth diving into.
