Steam dropping dozens of new free games for you to download and play this month

It is set to be a busy week

October is set to be an exciting month for gamers as Steam gears up to host its annual Next Fest.

Typically taking place around three times a year, the Steam Next Fest is a weeklong celebration of upcoming games which gives PC gamers the chance to check out demos, watch live streams from developers and add some new titles to their wishlists.

Check out the trailer for Dungeons of Hinterberg below!

With the last one taking place back in June, it is time for the next and this can only mean we have tons of games to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.

Steam Next Fest kicks off on 14 October and will run until 21 October.

As of now, no games have yet been confirmed but past events have introduced us to some bangers.

For example, June’s Next Fest featured 50+ demos to try and they included Once Human, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Caravan SandWitch, REKA and Dungeons of Hinterberg to name a few.

Since then, a few of these titles have seen a full release and we at GAMINGbible were lucky enough to try them out.

For Dungeons of Hinterberg, our review read:

“As a Zelda fan of nearly 30 years, it’s not easy to find a game that comes close to scratching that itch in a truly authentic way, but Dungeons Of Hinterberg is the real deal.

This is a real gem of a game that has managed to find a genuinely fresh new way to approach a well-worn genre.”

Caravan SandWitch was also a standout for us.

“Caravan SandWitch is still fresh in my mind, as is its emotive finale, a conclusion reached based on the choice you make,” our review read.

“I suspect, however, that in the days to follow, Sauge will often pop into my mind, her orange van waiting for me to start the ignition once more.”

It remains to be seen what titles will be made available to play in October’s Steam Next Fest.

However, there is no doubt that it will be a busy week for PC gamers.
