Steam has just dropped a free download for an upcoming game, but you’ll need to be fast.
If you’ve had your eye on Dreams of Another, a new indie game that tackles philosophical themes around creation and destruction, then you may have particularly become enthralled by its unique art style and gameplay.
It’s a game with the philosophy around the theme of “the more you destroy, the more you create,” and this is exactly what the trailers and screenshots have shown so far.
“Follow the Man in Pajamas and the Wandering Soldier to unlock and explore their imagination, past memories and life experiences,” reads the game’s official description on Steam. “Piece together the interwoven stories in this unconventional game that challenges common tropes and invites players to understand not just the game, but their own life in a whole new light.”

What follows is a third-person shooter where shooting things or blowing them up doesn’t destroy the environment, but actually creates new objects and points of interest. It certainly looks like one of the more interesting indie games releasing closer to the end of the year.
Well, if you’d like to check it out for yourself, you have a small window of time to check out the demo.
A limited-time demo is now available for two weeks, starting from this week and ending on 16th September.
The demo “offers a first glimpse into the game's distinctive point-cloud visual style and tis atmospheric, dream-like world.”

To download it, simply head over to the Steam page for Dreams of Another and select “Download Dreams of Another Demo”.
It should also run on Steam Deck, if that’s your PC platform of choice. Though it requires a little tinkering.
Download the Dreams of Another demo until 16th September. The full game is out on 10th October, 2025.
