It would take a lot to get me out in the garden pulling up weeds in knee-deep mud but doing it virtually? Sign me up with an upcoming cosy farming adventure inspired by Stardew Valley.

Developed by VoodooDuck, Collector’s Cove is an upcoming farming simulation game that sees you board your boat complete with its very own farm and travel across a land of diverse climates.

Check out the highest-rated farming simulator, Stardew Valley, below!

“Collector's Cove takes place in a world shaped by seemingly endless oceans, with only occasional small islands to be discovered,” reads the Steam synopsis. “In this largely uncharted world, the profession of a Collector is coveted, attracting young individuals with enthusiasm and ambition."

Announced just yesterday, Collector’s Cove is an indie title perfect for fans of the cosy farming life found in Stardew Valley but wish to test out their sea legs by travelling the open seas.

Alongside your animal companion, you will explore the diverse lands to discover unique crops and fish which you can then enter into your Collector’s compendium. By completing this, you will soon see yourself reach the coveted rank of Named Collector.

Not only can you discover rare items but there are also treasures to be found across secret islands and some collectibles can even help to turn your boat into the ideal sanctuary.

Much like Spiritfarer, your boat will be your home and you can design it as you see fit. By crafting useful items, you can turn your floating home into a reflection of your own style and what could be more perfect than hearing the ocean at every turn?

Farm in a serene maritime setting, fish in both salt and freshwater, collect treasures, fish and crops to complete your Compendium and even form an important bond with your animal companion. All this is available in Collector’s Cove which is now in early access on Steam.
