Elden Ring meets Skyrim in free Steam download

Elden Ring and Skyrim combined sounds like the best game ever made

Steam users can try a new game for free right now, which looks like a cool mash-up of Elden Ring and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that Elden Ring and Skyrim are two of the most beloved fantasy titles to ever grace a console, and while their stories are all said and done players still cling to them for dear life.

This is especially true of Elden Ring, as the Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion gave us hours and hours of new content to enjoy alongside a normal playthrough

So what if I told you a new game on Steam has taken both of these extraordinary titles as inspiration, and created a brand-new experience that you can try for free right now.

It’s called Valor & Blade, and while the full game isn’t available yet the free demo is more than enough to give you a taste of what’s to come.

Valor & Blade’s description reads: “Immerse yourself in this action RPG as a relentless warrior. Slash through fierce sword battles to cleanse a dark castle fortress and obliterate the heart of evil. Unlock powerful abilities and discover stronger swords as you progress, enhancing your combat prowess and strategy.”

It sounds like it’ll give you everything a fantasy RPG should, and hopefully act as something to tide you over during the ever-long wait for The Elder Scrolls VI.

While the gameplay shown definitely has that Elden Ring element to it I’d argue it’s even more like Demon Souls, which in case you didn’t know was originally pitched by Sony as a competitor for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion which was selling like crazy on the Xbox.

Valor & Blade is definitely worth a go, and if you liked what you see in the demo you can always wishlist the full game for updates on its release date, as it doesn’t have one yet.
