This free quest expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim isn’t one you want to miss, and it’s available right now.

While you’re waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI to emerge from the shadows, though God knows when that’ll be, you might be interested in some expansion mods for Skyrim.

Take a look at the teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI below, which is currently the only official look at the game we’ve had

Expansion mods are all too apparent for Bethesda’s RPGs, and they take on many different forms depending on the game.

Some are absolute chonkers, like Fallout: New California which acts as an unofficial prequel to the fan-favourite Fallout: New Vegas.

However some can be on the smaller side, like the one we’re talking about today called Skyrim: Shadows of the Guild, a quest expansion for the Thieves Guild storyline.

The mod adds a new quest with fully voice-acted characters, as well as some sweet rewards for the players who see it through to the end.

It’s also said to be lore-friendly, as it won’t disrupt the flow of the base storyline or interfere with other questlines, it simply slots itself into the narrative for you to play anytime, anywhere in the story.

Upon completing the quest you’ll walk out with the Magnificent Iron Dagger, a handy little blade that paralyses anyone who dares lay a finger on you, giving you the chance to either finish them off or make a hasty retreat.

Whether you’re approaching the end of your Skyrim journey or about to start an entirely new one, this little quest expansion mod might be just what you need to spice up your playthrough.

Thank the Lord for these Bethesda modders, they’re keeping the games alive while we wait for The Elder Scrolls VI.
