Red Dead Redemption 2 gets even better thanks to this gunfight mod

Red Dead Redemption 2 players looking for a challenge needed to download this awesome mod, which completely changes gunfights for the better.

If you play Red Dead Redemption 2 the right way, combat can often feel like a Western John Wick game, and if you make one simple change in the game’s settings it quickly becomes Cyberpunk 1899.

However if you want the game’s combat to feel a little more impressive/in=-depth there are a variety of mods to help you out with that.

Combine a few map expansions with some graphics and gameplay mods and Red Dead Redemption 2 quickly feels like a different game entirely.

Enter the Immersive Firefights mod, a free download you can grab right now that’ll add a little more challenge to your confrontations with Arthur Morgan and John Marston.

Simply put the mod “attempts to bring a new challenge to the table. In short the weapons have dramatically lower reload speeds and each weapon has its own perks and cons so you should be able to feel a big difference from hopping from one weapon to another.”

Of course this means killing goons will feel easier and more realistic, but it’ll also switch up the damage your characters take.

Speaking of damage, did you know Arthur Morgan will actually shed the occasional tear when he’s injured? Fans discovered that hidden detail about the character and it just goes to show how much effort Rockstar Games put into making the game feel more life-like.

Whether you’re on your first or hundredth PC playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2 this mod is exactly what you need to spice up the combat a bit.

Immersive Firefights can be downloaded for free from NexusMods right now, and should work alongside other mods you've got loaded.
