We’ve all experienced frustration at running into Red Dead Redemption 2’s invisible barrier.

When that call to explore rings in your ears, it’s hard to ignore it.

Sadly, Rockstar Games had other ideas, thus leaving us to stare longingly at the beyond, wondering if we’d ever discover its secrets...

And what do you know, a fan has created a map expansion that allows us to finally step over the barrier and explore freely.

Will you soon be joining in with these epic RDR2 wins and fails?

‘Out of Bounds’ allows you to “travel beyond the world boundary”.

Please bear in mind though that this is a work in progress, as clearly stated by its creator, pariah87. Consequently, updates will launch to address issues as and when needed.

A fan who’s already played using this map upgrade commented, “Thank you very much Pariah for this mod! Much appreciated, it gives us the chance to explore more the outskirts of the beautiful RDR2 map.”

“Great mod,” another person said, before querying a problem where NPCs don’t follow you over the invisible barrier.

In addition to limitless exploration, RDR2 players can also get that happy ending they’ve been dreaming of since seeing the heartbreaking reality of the story’s official conclusion.

For gamers who’ve wanted to play the first game but haven’t been able due to its 14 year absence on PC, things are about to change.

According to a recent datamine, Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to PC – it only took 14 years to make it happen!

We’re expecting to see a lot of new content go up the moment modders are able to start weaving their magic on the original game.

In the meantime, you can choose to conquer every inch of the map as you and Arthur see fit, or go off adventuring in any of the hundred other mods available on NexusMods.

RDR 2’s world is your oyster.
